I'm an Orthodox Jew on the IVF road to, well, somewhere. Hopefully parenthood. We're dealing with age, male infertility, Orthodoxy, finances, in-laws and one neurotic dog.
::Note::
Please do not use me as a guideline for Jewish practice. I am always learning, and what is okay in my community, might not be okay in yours. I'm happy to answer your questions, bearing in mind you should always consult your Rav for the standards of your community.
Also, if you think you know who I am, please don't wave hi. My ability to speak freely is important to me, so I don't want to know that you know. Todah rabah.

Deep breaths, deep breaths.
My goodness! Wishing you all the very best of luck from the very outset, of course.

Woo hoo! This is wonderful news. I hope it's just the first in a line of lotsagood news from you!
That's so exciting and so scary at the same time!
Great news!
How very exciting! What happened that meant you could get going again?
Ooh, good day. (That's my birthday.) Umm, isn't that awfully close to Pesach, though? But anyway, hatzlacha with everything. We're davening for you. (Keeping G-d busy substituting real names for all these pseudonyms!)
Thanks everyone! Miriam, I'll have to remember to think "happy birthday" to you :) It is close to Pesach, but we won't be starting a cycle yet - the doc's going to tell me I need to lose weight again. I'm 100% sure of that!
